Mental Health Counseling & Trauma Informed Services

Mental Health Counseling Services

Susanna Wesley Family Learning Center provides trauma-informed therapy free-of-charge to victims of violent crime, abuse, neglect, and traumatic loss. Our goal is to reach individuals and families whom have struggled with trauma to find the support, encouragement, and empowerment to heal. We provide a variety of techniques and interventions that are supported by research to be the most effective techniques to treat trauma. Every individual participating in therapy will have a treatment plan based on the unique needs and goals of each client.  We use the following treatment methods:  Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Therapy (including sand tray, music, yoga/relaxation, and art), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and Integrative Treatment of Complex Trauma. Therapy is conducted using a strengths based approach. We strive to offer treatment to allow individuals and families to find short-term relief from trauma-related problems and long term changes to health and well-being.  We provide a safe, nurturing, non-judgmental environment for individuals and families to heal from the traumas of abuse, separations, loss, and crime.
