Our Mission is To Build Healthy Families!
Since its beginning in 1992, Susanna Wesley Family Learning Center's mission is to build healthy families. This is accomplished by providing youth with a safe environment while supporting parents as they create a nurturing home for their families and develop skills that lead to self-supporting independence.
As part of its mission, Susanna Wesley provides Adult Education and Literacy Programs fostering employability and a financially secure future. For individuals age 16 and older, the Adult Education Program is designed to improve literacy skills, give specific pre-employment training in various trades, and enhance employability and long-term self-sufficiency.
Youth Programs are designed to encourage good citizenship, improve parent/child relationships, build self-esteem and promote the development of well-rounded productive individuals.
Our Domestic Violence Program provides women and children who are victims of domestic violence with a safe nurturing haven.
What is Susanna Wesley Family Learning Center?
What is Susanna Wesley, you say?
It's a place I find hope in, to go on everyday.
It's not just a place -- it's a life-line to me.
If I had not had Susanna Wesley, there's no telling where I'd be.
They open their doors and open their hearts.
They make it possible for you to have a new start.
They respect your hopes, your beliefs, your dreams.
They don't have ulterior motives or schemes --
Supporting success and wishing you gain.
For each tear you shed, they feel your pain.
Talking things out helps most of all,
And they are there to catch you when you fall.
When it seems like all hope is gone,
When it seems like no one is there,
Susanna Wesley is there, and they sincerely care.
Giving constructive advice and good opinions they share.
So if you are ever in need and need a friend,
Come to Susanna Wesley and your broken heart will mend.
More than three cheers go up for this special place,
They never get tired of seeing your face.
