The Safe Haven Summer Camp Program is designed to promote recreation and develop career paths during the summer vacation of school aged youth.  this program allows youth to participate in recreational activities such as cooking, arts & crafts, life skills, and career pathways, while still being able to enjoy a good summer through fun activities.  This program is available for school age youth grades K-8th on Monday - Thursday, from 8:00am - 3:00pm at the Bowden Center in Charleston, Missouri during lack key summer hours.  In 2011, we served over 100 youth that enrolled in the Safe Haven Summer Camp. A year end showcase was held and there were over 60 parents in attendance in 2011.  The youth performed songs, dances, poems, gymnastic, and other arts and crafts.  We really had a big turnout, and the parents praised the Safe Haven Summer Camp Staff for all of their hard work.
