Liberty United Methodist Church Donates Time and Hard Work!

Liberty United Methodist Church from Liberty, Missouri came down to Susanna Wesley Family Learning Center as part of a Mission Trip and donated time and hard work.  While some of the woman on the mission stayed at Susanna Wesley Family Learning Center and cleaned, cooked daily meals for our program participants, and other various tasks; most of the men were at local elderly homes building handicap accessible ramps, so that these elderly people could get in and out of their homes adequately. Liberty United Methodist Church hosts the Faithworks Program which allows youth to do different types of mission projects during the summer months.  These youth mission projects are done both locally and regionally.

They are very impressed with the services that are being provided at Susanna Wesley Family Learning Center.  One of the adult workers said that building ramps for the elderly was very interesting for the suburban youth that took part in this mission trip, because they had never been exposed to what they were seeing as it relates to the needs in our community, which made it a very good experience for them.  Everyone in the Liberty U.M.C Mission Group said that they were very happy to be able to help our organization and our community.
